Halaya Robb BCST

Hi! I'm Halaya, welcome to my website! Over the next few pages you can find out a lot about Craniosacral therapy. Most people find choosing somebody to work with is a journey in itself, so I've tried to keep things personal so you can get an idea of what it would be like to work with me. Sessions are 1.5 hours, allowing you to engage very deeply in your healing process.

I came to this work through my own healing journey, having spent three years with Lymes Disease and also searching for relief from an increasingly dibilitating tension in my neck after breaking it in a car crash 15 years ago. My journey took me to many different therapists, I studied kinesiology for a year and worked with spiritual healers in Spain, before coming to England in 2007 where I had the privelidge of studying with Franklyn Sills, who is recognised internationally in the field of biodynamic craniosacral therapy.

I work on many different levels and find it extremely helpful to spend time in conversation as well as working hands on. It helps me to get an understanding of whats brought you to this point in your life, what's important to you, and how you are relating to your experiences. During this part of the session, a lot of deep intergration can take place, as you are listened to from a place of space and acceptance, it is common for clients to feel a sense of release and a new perspective on the issues that have been spoken about.
At this point, there may be more clarity and intention for body work, which enables your session to be more effective. We hold the keys to our healing within our relationship to our experiences.

Bodywork in craniosacral therapy is very gentle. I use light touch and you remain fully clothed on the massage table. There is no manipulation, I rely on my listening skills to interact with your body, using my hands to connect with your being.

There begins, the profound listening of one human being to another, allowing you to take time for yourself and your body to feel heard, sometimes for the first time ever. We all have a need to be recieved and acknowledged, and as you begin to relax during the session, you will connect with the deeper resources within yourself. You may feel realignments occuring in your body, within the stillness, or notice later that you have less tension or more strength/ clarity.

My own experience of this work is a sense of coming home. The physical blocks, thought patterns and emotions that are so engrained in us, held in our posture and the fluids and tissues of our bodies, begin to release and leave us with a transformed experience of our health and wellbeing, and relationship to life. Craniosacral therapy is extremely effective if you are seeking to resolve stress or trauma, which can often be accompanied by physical symptoms like digestive problems, back pain and breathing difficulties. During the session, your own cellular memory navigates through the layers, often to the source of an issue, whereby being recognised and acknowledged in the present time, resolution can take place on a profound and peaceful level.
Many people find that during a session they are able to access a much deeper experience of themselves that enhances their sense of wellbeing in daily life. Some people come for sessions to give themselves time to balance their otherwise busy lives.

REALIGNMENT OF THE ATLAS BONE

Recently I became aware that literally all clients come to me with a misalignment in the positioning of the atlas bone, the very top vertebre in the neck. I looked into this and discovered it is a well known phenomenom. As the entire skeleton below the head is suspended from this bone, the positioning in relationship to the skull is crucial. If the atlas bone is crooked your whole spine will be compensating, effecting every joint, organ, even emotional and mental make up. Craniosacral therapy very gently adjusts the atlas bone back into realignment in a matter of minutes, and allows the rest of the spine to fall gently into place.

You can read and understand more about how Craniosacral therapy works on the next page of this website, where I explain in more detail, the relationship between Craniosacral therapy and the central nervous system.

I welcome you to work with me on your healing journey, and to experience the deep relaxation of your mind and body moving into stillness.

I work from home in a quiet area of Bristol, with only a few minutes drive from the M32, so access is easy from Newport, Cardiff, Gloucester, Stroud or Chippenham. From Bath it's a 35 min drive on the A431 through Hanham.
